Principal’s Message
A woman with dark skin smiles, wearing a black top and hoop earrings.

It is with heartfelt joy that I welcome you to a brand-new school year at Pine Hills Elementary, where we proudly continue to “Set the Example, by Being the Example!” This year marks a major milestone for our school for the first time ever, we’ve earned a “B” school grade! This achievement reflects the hard work, dedication, and passion of our staff, students, and families. Let’s celebrate together and keep striving for an “A” as we move forward!

At Pine Hills Elementary, my vision is simple yet powerful: to inspire every student to become a lifelong learner and compassionate leader in their community. We are committed to nurturing each child’s academic growth and social development in a safe, caring environment.

Success doesn’t happen alone it’s built through teamwork. Families, teachers, staff, and community members all play an essential role in helping our students thrive. Whether it's joining our PTA or SAC, reading to students, chaperoning field trips, or volunteering through ADDitions, there are countless ways to make a difference. Your involvement truly matters, and we welcome it with open arms.

I am deeply honored to serve as your principal and couldn’t be more excited to kick off another year of learning, collaboration, and growth. Thank you for partnering with us to make Pine Hills a place where all students shine.

Here’s to a fantastic year ahead we’re well on our way to being an “A” rated school!

Your Dedicated Principal,

LaTonya Smothers
